Freddy Krueger actor says he’s “a little too old” to return to the series With the rights to Freddy Krueger going back to the estate of Wes Craven, questions about if Robert Englund would reprise his role have once again cropped up. Read More: Set It Off reveal third ‘After Midnight’ single “One Single Second” The actor has previously gone back and forth about if he would take on the role of Freddy Krueger again but now he seems to have a definitive answer. “I don’t think I’ll ever don the makeup again,” Englund says to EW. “I’m a little too old for that. I’m a little long in the tooth to play Freddy now. I think if I was doing it, it would be more like Freddy vs. Viagra.” “But I have no idea whether they’re going to go on and create completely new stories or whether they’re going to go back and do prequels or origin stories on the Freddy Krueger myth. I don’t know what they’re up to. So, I’m just waiting to hear,” Englund adds. The actor has starred in eight total films in the series to date. The last he appeared in was Freddy vs. Jason back in 2003 with the series getting its start back in 1984. Carson continues. I’ve been laughed at when I told people what I do for a living, I’ve been betrayed by my closest friends, and I’ve been told no time and time again. To me, that’s fuel, it’s motivation to show that this path is something that I was born to do. Success is the best revenge. YUNGBLUD reveals album release date, new song coming “imminently” YUNGBLUD captured the attention of many when he dropped his debut album 21st Century Liability in 2018. That was followed up by the underrated youth EP in Oct. 2019. Now, YUNGBLUD has finally revealed the release date for his second LP. YUNGBLUD also has best-selling collaborations with Machine Gun Kelly, Travis Barker, Halsey and blackbear. In April, he will head stateside for the underrated youth North American spring tour. Read More: Falling In Reverse reimagine “The Drug In Me Is You” as orchestral ballad In the early days of January, YUNGBLUD spoke about his second full-length record and teased a huge collaboration. Many believe it is Post Malone. In an interview with MusicFeeds.com, when asked about the record and any big collabs on the album, YUNGBLUD said, “There is a mental one coming at the start of next year. I can’t say who it is yet but he is such a visionary artist. So fucking sick and he is a bridge between hip hop and rock and roll.” It makes a lot of sense for Malone to be the collab YUNGBLUD is referring to. When asked if Malone could be the feature, YUNGBLUD simply said, “I can’t say but I’m glad you’re curious, you’ll just have to wait til 2020.” Read More: MCR, FOB or P!ATD lyrics: Can you tell the difference? Nevertheless, there is another potential candidate for the feature. Both Machine Gun Kelly and YUNGBLUD worked together already, with some help from Travis Barker on “I Think I’m OKAY.” The three hit the studio again back in November, sparking a cause of speculation. While the trio worked in the studio for Kelly’s new pop-punk fueled album that he is working on with Barker, that’s not to say another collab couldn’t be in the works. Kelly also mentions he is hoping to get Fronz from Attila and Bert McCracken from The Used. It’s safe to say that either one fits the description as both Kelly and Malone seamlessly transcend between hip-hop and rock with ease. But still, no one knew when the album would be released. Now we do. During the NME Awards, YUNGBLUD revealed backstage something he hasn’t said yet. “There’s a song coming imminently and an album coming in August. I haven’t really said that to anyone.” YUNGBLUD says before discussing his love for Robert Smith and the Cure. He also announces that the new album has a couple of collabs but he can’t tell us who they are. The full backstage interview is below. That’s great news for YUNGBLUD fans because he also says there’s a song coming “imminently.” A new song on the horizon and a record in August gives us plenty to look forward to. Hayley Williams confirms “there will be more Paramore shows” in the future With her upcoming, solo debut Petals For Armor just months away, Hayley Williams is now talking about what she may be including in upcoming shows. If one thing is certain, it’s that the Paramore frontwoman won’t be including any tracks from her band on the setlist, but she did say they will be performing in the future. Williams has been with the band since it’s inception in 2004. Since then, Paramore has released six full-lengths with their most recent being 2017’s After Laughter. Read more: Highly Suspect deliver filter-free honesty on new “Fly” video—watch Last year, the frontwoman revealed that she didn’t know “what [was] next for Paramore” after she unleashed a silent song teaser that sent into a frenzy. At the time, she was working daily on Good Dye Young products and projects, Williams wanted to assure fans she’s “always been a musician first.” But the band didn’t have anything locked in for the future. “My first creative outlet was music and even though people are going to see me in this kind of space with Brian a lot more, I don’t want people to forget. I was like, ‘I’m just going to leave this here and see you guys on the flip side.’ I really don’t know what’s next for Paramore, but the guys and I just had dinner the other night at my house. I think we’re just really enjoying being friends and adult human beings at home by ourselves without music.” In a new interview with Entercom, when asked what she would be including in her upcoming solo performances, Williams stated what she wouldn’t be playing. “I’m not gonna work Paramore songs in because that’s very sacred to me and that belongs at a Paramore show.” Even though she won’t be performing any of the band’s tracks, she did say they’ll be performing together again someday. “And there will be more Paramore shows. Yes. Confirmed,” she states. “I think there’s already moments where we find ourselves fantasizing about the next Paramore project and we kind of have to stop ourselves because everyone’s so busy working on shit right now. I guess I feel very safe. I don’t need to bring Paramore into this and be like, ‘Hey, remember me I’m in Paramore’, because in about five minutes I’m gonna be back with Paramore.” Read more: 10 things that led up to Hayley Williams’ epic solo debut “The love of my life is Paramore and those are my best friends too. I feel like my creative life began because I met them. I wouldn’t really know what to do if I did something entirely without them because I don’t think there’s a bigger fan on this earth of them than me.” Williams revealed that the title for the LP came from her first single “Simmer”. The specific lyric can be heard during the bridge of the track. “I wrote ‘Wrap yourself in petals for armor,’ and it felt like it came from somewhere else,” she says. “Like, it didn’t really come from me. I didn’t mean to write it, it just kind of happened. It felt so right.” Check out the full interview below!
